The Government of India has made a significant adjustment in the charger used to charge mobile phones to benefit customers and prevent electronic waste. They have requested that all phone and smartphone manufacturers utilise the same USB Type-C charging connection. The government has set the date for implementation. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has practical guidance for USB Type-C charging connectors that will be utilised in the country's mobile phones, smartphones, and tablets. According to Rohit Kumar Singh, Consumer Affairs Secretary, firms have nearly agreed to use USB Type-C as the charging connector for all smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
