Social worker Nishita Rajput has taken a significant step to empower women in Vadodara by donating sewing machines to 11 women. Her aim is to help these women earn a livelihood while staying at home and also support their families. She plans to donate 100 more sewing machines in the next year to help more women. Rajput has been running the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign for 13 years, providing school fees to girls from poor and lower-middle-class families. With the help of donors, she has helped 42,100 girls and spent a total of around 4 crore 78 lakhs on school fees. By providing sewing machines, Rajput is continuing her mission to empower women in the community. She believes that these machines will enable the women to earn a good income while working from home.
