In a major development for the citizens of Gujarat, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) has expanded its health insurance coverage for Ayushman cardholders. As of today, Ayushman cardholders in the state are eligible for a revised coverage of Rs. 10 lakhs, in addition to the existing coverage of Rs. 5 lakhs. To announce and inaugurate this development, a meeting was held at the Gandhinagar office of Gujarat MoHFW Rushikesh Patel, with representatives from Bajaj Insurance Company. The meeting was attended by important high officials including the Principal Secretary of the Health Department Manoj Agarwal, Commissioner Shahmina Husain, Director of the National Health Mission (N.H.M.)
